We are really lucky as a County that we have always been able to offer exciting international opportunities for Guides, Rangers and Young Leaders, and that we have so many adventurous young people who want to take on these opportunities!
Applications for INTOPS 2024 are now open!
To attend girls will need to be born between 31st August 2006 and 1st July 2011.
What is INTOPS?
INTOPS (or International Opportunities) is the selection weekend for international trips with Girlguiding Worcestershire. We will be selecting for trips taking place in Summer 2025.
INTOPS is open to any member of Girlguiding Worcestershire born between 31 August 2006 and 1 July 2011 who will hold a Guide, Ranger or Young Leader role at the time of travel in summer 2024. During the weekend we will be looking to see who works well together and who is ready for the challenges of an international Guiding experience. It is a great opportunity to meet other members, find out about international opportunities and have fun.
The details
Blackmore Campsite, Hanley Swan, WR9 0EE
Friday 15th March (7.30pm) to Sunday 17th March (11.00am) 2023.
Cost – £35
(Payment details will be sent with confirmation that you have secured a place on the weekend)
Applications will close at 11.59pm on Friday 9th Feb.
If we receive more applications than we have spaces available on the weekend, we will run a ballot to allocate spaces. For those who are successful in the ballot, we will ask your leader for a reference and share your name with your local Division Commissioner, to confirm that you are an active member of a local Guiding unit.
The 2025 Trip
We will be selecting for one trip at INTOPS, for summer 2025.
The trip will be a service project in Europe.
There will be lots of time to ask questions about the trips and talk to us about the trips that interest you at the weekend, as well as finding out more details about all these opportunities and lots more!
There are three sections in this form: your details, your parent/guardian’s details, and your leader’s details. You will need your Girlguiding membership number and a name and contact email address for your Unit Leader.
