There is plenty of car parking on site.  Why not car share and bring a guiding friend?

What are the times for the day ?

9:15 – 9:30     Registration / Coffee and hot pastries

During lunchtime you can peruse the Girlguiding Worcester Division Depot and Blackmore Shop, chat to County Advisors and members of the Trefoil Guild.

Can I come for only part of the day?

Yes that’s fine, we are fully flexible.  Come for the full day, morning only or afternoon only.

Do I need to bring my own refreshments?

Bring your own packed lunch. Hot and cold drinks will be available, it would be appreciated if you could please bring a refillable cup with you.  If you do forget your lunch, there is a local supermarket nearby.  Pleas ask at reception if your need directions

What shall I wear ?

Please wear uniform, where possible.

Do I need to bring anything with me ?

A notebook and pen may be useful.  Refillable cup (if you have one).  Any additional items for specific sessions will be sent by separate email.

Why are some session choices showing as full.

Sessions have limited spaces and are filled on a first come first served basis.  Sessions are repeated, so hopefully you should get your first choice on most occasions.

How do I remember what I have chosen

You should receive a confirmation email of the choices you have made.  Please print or make a note of your choices annd bring this with you on the day.

 Risky Business
A session to provide guidance and support to create and use risk assessments to ensure a safe environment for all your guiding activities and to be able to recognise unsafe situations.

Singing in the Unit

Action songs, traditional songs, songs that make you laugh! Use them at your unit meetings or at your residential events. Find out how to make a campfire fun and engaging.
Celebrating every member Examine the possible diversity of needs of girls and volunteers in the unit. Recognise examples of inclusive decision making and leadership. Develop ways to adapt activities and meetings so everyone can have a great guiding experience. Know which forms can be used to support girls and volunteers.  Learn how to support young members and volunteers and how to report incidents of discrimination.
Using your Young Leaders Using your Young Leaders.  How to include them in the planning.
Engaging all Members  How to cope with the broad range of ages and abilities in your unit and how to make best use of the helpers you have.

Fire Safety Aware

A session to ensure you are Fire Safety aware both in your Unit meeting place and on residential events. This practical session will also include how to use a fire extinguisher.SESSION CLOSED
Having fun Internationally Come and have fun trying out a range of crafts and games from around the world.

Module 2: Trauma and injury.

Includes dealing with Shock, Bleeding, Fractures and sprains, Head injury, Dental incidents, and Burns.  SESSION FULL

Budgeting and Accounts Looking at how to effectively manage your Unit accounts. To include budgeting, maintaining good records, together with submitting your year-end accounts.
Programme Overview   An introduction (or refresh) to the guiding programme including themes, unit meeting activities, skills builders, interest badges and anniversary badges.
