1st Peopleton Brownies
Bugingham Palace!

Last month (June 2021) our Brownies made a bug hotel with help from one of the dads.

They researched things that different creatures would like, and collected items such as bark, sticks and fircones. Rosie’s Dad Martyn made the frame from pallets that he got from the building site across the road.

After we had filled in the compartments and drilled holes for bees, Martyn attached wire to keep it all together. It has been secured in place at one of our local parks in Upton Snodsbury, where two of our leaders (Alison/ Badger and Mel/Bat) are trustees of the park charity ????

Leader Bat has also burned a sign for the bug hotel using pyrography. We have completed the wildlife trusts idot badge, and did this as part of it, along with building a log pile next to it.
