Do you know someone who shows great courage? Deserves special thanks? Goes that extra mile?
At Girlguiding Worcestershire, we have our own awards too
These might be adults or girls who keep attending despite difficult circumstances, those who ‘go the extra mile’ and those who provide a full and varied programme despite difficulties. Is there someone, whether they are in uniform or not, whose advice or support makes a difference? Then nominate them for an award.
Being recognised for the service to your local community is a very special honour, so if you think someone deserves recognition then nominate them. Don’t think everyone else will do it because someone could miss out.
You have the chance to nominate someone special for a variety of awards as detailed below:
Got someone in mind to nominate?
If you'd like to nominate someone for an award, download the nomination form and return it by the 1 June.

Awards to work towards:
Queens guide award
The Queen’s Guide Award is the highest award in Girlguiding and isn’t just a great achievement to share with other members of Girlguiding, but potential employers and further education institutions will also be impressed with this accomplishment.
The programme can be matched with activities you are already doing, but also challenge yourself in lots of different ways. It is open to members aged 16 to 30 and must be completed within three years or before your 31st birthday, whichever is sooner. You can find out more about the Queen’s Guide Award by visiting the Girlguiding UK website.

Duke of Edinburgh’s award
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) is a voluntary, non-competitive programme of activities for anyone aged 14 to 24. Doing their DofE gives young people the opportunity to experience new activities and develop existing skills.
There are three progressive levels of programmes which, successfully completed, lead to a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award. Young people create their own DofE programme by choosing a Volunteering, Physical and Skills activity, going on an Expedition and, for their Gold only, taking part in a Residential activity.
You can also find out more on the D of E site by clicking on the icon above and the Girlguiding UK page by clicking HERE.
